Introducing Push Agent: AI-powered messaging for your loyalty programme

Today we are launching Push Agent - a new feature available on Growth and Pro plans that changes how you communicate with your customers.

The idea behind Push Agent is simple: you should be able to reach your customers without needing to be a marketer. You know what you want to say. Push Agent handles how to say it and who to say it to.

How it works

You open the Push Agent tool in your Spark dashboard and type what you want in plain English. Something like:

"It's a quiet Tuesday afternoon. Get people through the door."

Push Agent reads that, identifies the best audience from your customer segments, writes a short wallet push notification, and sends it to the right people - all in under a minute.

The message appears directly on your customers' lock screens, delivered through Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. No email open rates to worry about. No spam folders. Just a notification from the loyalty card they already have on their phone.

Audience segments

Push Agent uses the data from your loyalty programme to build smart audience segments. When you write a message, it selects the most relevant group automatically. The available segments are:

  • Top Customers - your most frequent visitors, the people who will always show up for a reason to visit
  • Nearby - customers whose phones are close to your location right now
  • New This Week - people who added your loyalty card in the last seven days
  • At Risk - customers who have not visited in a while and may be drifting away
  • Frequent Visitors - regulars who visit consistently but may not be your top spenders

You can review the selected audience and estimated send count before anything goes out.

Why wallet push notifications

Wallet push notifications consistently outperform email for local businesses. Open rates are typically three to four times higher than email, and because the message comes from an app already on the customer's phone rather than an email address they might filter, it feels different - more like a direct message than a broadcast.

They work especially well for time-sensitive prompts. "Come in today and get a double stamp" lands very differently as a lock-screen notification than as an email that gets read two days later.

Getting started

Push Agent is available now on Growth and Pro plans. Log into your Spark dashboard and look for the Push Agent tab. If you are on the Starter plan and want to try it, you can upgrade from your account settings - no need to cancel or re-sign up.
